Dear Parent/Guardian
We are delighted that the girls have settled back so well and that they are working very hard in all their classes. We commend them for their cooperation and kindness to each other as they make the transition back to school after the summer break. Everyday, we observe acts of kindness and support and this makes the school a happier place for all.
Transition Year (TY)
TY students completed a successful induction programme culminating in a picnic in St. Anne's Park. The girls are looking forward to their trip to Tanagh Adventure Centre on September 23rd. This is always a much enjoyed outing.
TY students will be participating in the Teenagers And Garda Programme in the coming weeks.

Green Schools
Care for the environment is of great importance to the whole community in St. Mary's and we have an active Green School Committee who work tirelessly to promote this value. Their efforts were rewarded over the summer when our school was awarded our Green Flag for Litter and Waste reduction. Waste that normally goes to landfill was reduced by 48% and this will continue to increase with everyone’s help.
The Green Team will now focus on Water Conservation and ask that students bring reusable water bottles to school whenever possible. We wish them well as they inspire us to live out our motto ‘St Mary’s Green and Clean’
