The Le Chéile Schools Trust
This Trust comprises the schools of fourteen religious congregations. The aim of the Trust is to carry on the legal, financial and inspirational role of trusteeship that has, up to now, been done by individual congregations. It carries out the legal and inspirational role of trusteeship. This is a significant development in Irish education as the Catholic Church and the individual religious congregations renew and reformulate their commitment to Irish education. Revised Common Points Scale for Entry into Higher Education in 2017:
Jan O’Sullivan, TD, Minister for Education and Skills has announced a revised Common Points Scale for entry into higher education. The revised scale, which has been developed collaboratively by the universities and institutes of technology, builds on the package of reforms announced by the Minister in April, and will apply to students who sit the Leaving Certificate from 2017. Visit in of Bernice Moran:
Bernice, a past pupil of St. Mary's visited our school on April 5th and gave a very inspiring talk to our Senior girls. She spoke about her career as a pilot and how she set up her business called The Bee Sweet Company. Our girls were very impressed!!!!!
Well done to all the First Years who participated in the SkiFest science competition and to all who received prizes.
Visit of Garda Band to St. Mary's
The Garda Band visited St. Mary's on Feb 12th and performed some of their repertoire of tunes and songs for First, Second and Transition Years. Many teachers were also in attendance. It was a most enjoyable experience for all. After the performance certs were presented to the Transition Years.
Cycle Against Suicide Congress:

St. Mary's Raffle:
Well done to all students and teachers who supported our weekly raffle launched by Ms Cameron. The aim of the raffle is to provide facilities for the school especially chosen by the students for the students.

Visit in of Senator Feargal Quinn
Senator Feargal Quinn visited our school on Friday 13th Feb. and gave a talk to our 4th and 5th Year students as part of our #Inspire5 Programme. Feargal was interesting, entertaining, enlightening and inspiring as he encouraged all of us to strive to be the BEST.
