Green Schools Water Week takes place between March 20th and March 24th, 2023. Respecting out environment is a core value of our school and St. Mary's is actively involved in the Green's School programme. We look forward to focusing our attention on water conservation during the coming week. A range of activities is planned for the week including WEAR BLUE day on March 21st.
The Water theme looks at developing awareness around water conservation and how to effectively manage this important resource in our schools and at home.
Here's an interesting fact:
During 2019/2020 Green-Schools students saved 592 million litres of water. That’s enough to fill 20 olympic sized swimming pools, or make 2.3 billion cups of tea!
