Covid-19

Dear Parent/Guardian,

With recent developments with regard to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, we must be ready in case a member of our school community is affected. Please note the following points:

  1. Currently the school is operating as usual and intends to continue to do so
  2. We are monitoring the situation and following the guidelines issues by the HSE and JMB
  3. Posters on preventative measures have been placed around the school to provide information
  4. Assemblies are being held with all year groups to advise students on hygiene etiquette.
  5. Arrangements are being made for communication with all classes should a school closure be neccessary (e.g. e-mail, Microsoft OneDrive and Teams). This will help to reassure students. It is vital that students know their Microsoft passwords so that they can access work if the school should close.
  6. As a precautionary measure only, students may begin taking some books from their lockers so that they have them at home should they need them.
  7. Should the school need to close at short notice parents and students will be informed via text message, via the school website and on social media
