12-March-21
WEEK 8 Remote and In-school Teaching and Learning

Leaving Certificate

Leaving Cert students have had the opportunity to log on to the online portal since Wednesday to enter their levels and preferences for this year's examination. Orals will take place from Friday, March 26th and students should expect to be scheduled from this date. Music practicals will take place the following week.

Fifth Year Students

We look forward to welcoming our fifth year students back to school on Monday. Don't forget to bring your Return To School Form. Unfortunately only those with the form can be admitted to class at this time. Advice from the Department of Education can be viewed HERE.

Additional Support

We are currently setting up additional support classes for students who feel they need to catch up following the last few weeks of remote learning. For various reasons, some students may not have been able to engage fully and we are now offering one-to-one and small group classes to support those students to get back on track with their learning. If you feel that your daughter can benefit from additional support, please email sdreeling@hfk.ie

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge took place this week celebrating our native Irish language and culture in advance of St. Patrick's Day. Comhghairdeas le gach duine a bhí ag caint trí mheán na Gaeilge.

Remote Learning

The Remote learning Policy has now been ratified by the Board of Maneagement. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the consultation process.

Free Virtual Change For Life Programme

A Free Virtual Change For Life Programme that will commence next Monday 15th March. Participants can register from today via www.dcswphub.ie.

The virtual programme will run for 8 weeks and will include various health and fitness classes such as Dance Fit, Box Fit, HIIT, Yoga, Nutrition and healthy eating workshops. We will also set out family fun challenges each week for participants and their families.

Classes will be delivered live each day via the hub but will also be recorded so participants can access them at a time that suits.
