It was confirmed earlier this week that traditional, written Leaving Cert exams will go ahead this June, along with the return of the Junior Cycle.

Minister for Education Norma Foley TD has announced extensive changes to the state examinations for 2022.

To take into account the disruption to teaching and learning experienced by the Leaving Certificate class of 2022, extensive changes will be made to the written Leaving Certificate 2022 examinations.

The Minister has also confirmed that the fees for sitting the Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations will be waived for the year.

Previously, Leaving Cert students were required to pay €116 to sit their exams, while Junior Cert students paid €109.

Oral and practical examinations will take place outside of school time over the first week of the school Easter holidays, with the examinations running in schools during the six-day period Saturday 9 April to Thursday 14 April inclusive.

Internet Safety Day

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. Our students are preparing for a campaign to raise awareness for responsible and safe internet usage. As part of the programme of activities, a team of student ambassadors has been set up to provide a workshop and presentation for 1st year students. Students have been creating posters and poems to promote their messages about staying safe online.
