Junior Cycle Update

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students of 3rd Year,

We hope that you and your families are keeping well at this time and that you are managing to relax during this midterm break.

There were a number of announcements yesterday about the Junior Cycle examinations including the cancellation of the written papers this year by the State Examinations Commission. The exams will be substituted with alternative forms of assessment and we will update you further when we are advised of the format that this will take. In the meantime, it is essential that students continue with their work and follow the guidance provided by their teachers.

We understand that this is a stressful time and that you will have some questions and concerns. Please try not to worry or speculate about what may happen. When we receive the official information and guidance from the Department of Education, we will contact you immediately and explain thoroughly whatever is being put in place.

We are also awaiting information about returning to school. We will let you know as soon as the arrangements are available.

For now, please take a break this week and re-engage with online learning and live classes next week.

Stay safe,

Ms Mc Loughlin and Ms Gilligan
